Petal skirt

I saw THIS tutorial a while ago and knew I had to make it for my girls. It was a little harder than I thought, and I actually spent close to 10 hours making it!! It wasn't the petals. The construction was confusing to me, but now I have made other skirts with similar construction and I think I could do it A LOT faster. I might just try so my girls can have matching skirts.

I had to hide it from my three year during the process. If she finds out I made something for her, she won't wear it! I have to sneak it in an Old Navy or Target bag, and she's convinced. I'm not sure if she likes it yet. But I do!

Halloween Shirt

I just realized, a week or so ago, that my 3 year old doesn't have any Halloween shirts! I looked through her clothes and noticed a plain white shirt that she NEVER wears. So I transformed it!

It was actually really easy. All I did was iron on some heat and bond on the back of a scrap of suede cloth. On the paper backing of the heat and bond I drew a spider web. I used a separate piece for the string and spider. I cut out all the negative pieces and viola, I have an applique. I ironed it on the shirt where I thought it looked best, and topstitched it down. I love how the web turned out. As I was cutting, I noticed that the lines were far from perfect. But I love how it adds spookiness to the look.

For Karen

Some more fun baby clothes. I love these puffy faux pearl shirts. So cute on little girls.

I also love ribbon embellishment tees. My husband says it looks like a hairy chest..his friend said it looked like going through the car wash...I thought it was cute...
And a cute bubble skirt with matching periwinkle flowers.
There were some more items. But I always forget to take pictures.

Halloween Decorations

Okay, so this year I'm really liking the placement of most of my decorations. So I had to capture it, so I can duplicate it next year. There are some areas I don't love, but they require more/different decorations that I'll have to buy or make..

In my kitchen..
I made the silhouette this year. The rest is old.

I love my witches brew by the oven.

Bathroom needs sprucing..but for now

Basement door.

Living Room

Those two empty frames will have insect displays. Spiders on the black and bats on the green. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Some trick-or-treating mice on the wall..

Family room

And porch.

For Marissa

A boy! They're not as fun to make things for, but I'm getting better at coming up with ideas.
So for Marissa (my visiting teacher)

Cute matching burp cloth and taggie toy.
A Onsie, copying the colors. A distressed truck. I love how the edges are darker and rugged. I used the Home Decor cartridge for the front and back.
And on the back...
And some cute brown shorts with a "C" for Charlie. I found this "C" pre-made at Hobby Lobby! Super cute all I did was iron on and top stitch!

Congrats Marissa!

For Mackenzie

Another girl. So, more cuteness. I copied this EXACTLY from one my cute friend made me! I LOVE it.

Some fun hair accessories.
And my favorite lil' outfit. Fit for a princess.

Another cute {peacock} romper I couldn't pass up at Target.

For Lisa

My friend Lisa found out she's having twin girls! I decided to make her cute matchy shirts. Faux pearl necklace shirts, with a cute flower. I found the tutorial HERE. I love her rhinestone embellishments. Mine are more plain. But I still like them.

Cute matching onsies with ribbon embellishment. The pictures don't really do them justice, but you can see HERE where I copied it from. I just tweaked it a little for a onsie. And you can see a cute black crocheted headband to go with it.
A pair of poppies. For added cuteness.
And I couldn't pass up these cute rompers at Target.
