We finished the cute Valentine Bags for my friend's daughters. Here's how they turned out...

For my girls

For my girls this year I wanted to make them pajamas. They turned out okay. But I literally didn't have the time to do anything else. It's amazing these got done in time for our mini vacation.

My older daughter is always putting my shirts on. This particular shirt I never wore. So I took it in, added some hearts and a cute aplique. And now it's her nightgown.
Pretty simple, pretty cute.
My youngest daughter got pants and a shirt. I took an old pair of my jammie pants. (That I got for Valentines Day YEARS ago.) And turned them into jammie pants for her. Added four layers of ruffles...which looks A LOT cuter on. And paired it with a wal-mart shirt. I added the cute hearts..and Viola. Valentine jammies for my girls.

Some gifts for Valentines

I decided my friend needed some cute Valentine shirts for her boys...not sure why, but once it was in my head, I had to do it. So for the older, he's 2 1/2 and so cute.

And the younger. He's 4 months.
I had found this shirt on sale at Target. It had some weird dog on it. So I just covered it up.
I died the onsie gray to match. But it is a lot bluer of a gray..they still go well together. I used my blackletter cartridge for the font. Using the freezer paper method. And just did the heart free-hand. Using gray wool felt. Sometimes it's easier.
My other friend wanted to make cute bags for her girls. We did the front personalized and I got a quick shot.

I had to make this as a little Valentine for my MIL, who sings this to my kids.
And a little present for my friend Karen, who invited us to spend Valentines weekend with her and her family.

Decorating for Valentines

Last year I was in to burlap. Proof, my love banner...

This year I made a beautiful banner with crystals, embossed papers, glitter, tulle...all the ingredients for Valentines day.

I also made this last year with scraps from a shower curtain. LOVE IT.
Free printables..but I can't find where I got them. With a cute chain garland.

My friend got these hearts from her MIL. They were attached on a chain, and were painted with the old country style of colors and spackle...and rafia. We stripped all that off and turned them into cute conversation hearts. Using my our cricut to cut out the vinyl words.
I made these last year with cute glitter plates from Target and scrap vinyl words from my local vinyl store.
I made a beautiful garland to hang between my two topiaries.
It's all in the details. Sewn, ruffled crepe paper with a glitter edge. Embossed scallop backing with glitter letters. So pretty.
I got this printable HERE. This is a song my MIL always sings to my girls. So when I saw it I had to have it.
My puff felt balls that previously were hanging on hooks...ended up here. Without ribbons, a top candle holders. A much better home.
And a LONG beautiful strand hearts and glitter circles.

That about wraps it up for decorations this year...

Paper globes

A few posts ago I had my cute topiaries and puff felt balls. I didn't love the way they (puff balls) looked hanging on my hooks. So I changed them up a bit....and decided, I did in fact need something hanging. Enter Heather Bailey's paper globe pattern. I did the circles a little smaller on my gypsy to get more out of a page. And it still worked beautifully. I absolutely LOVE them. Much better than the previous occupants.

Framed valentine art

More decorations. And more copying. This is my version of an insect heart display.

Love sign, inspired by this. I like the red and black more. But it just doesn't go with the rest of my decor.

Heart felt wreath

I'm on the ball this month!! I'm making valentines decor in time to have them up this year. This is the first of a few projects. I stole the idea from here. As well as other projects to be finished.

I did count how many circles I used, which was 124. It was a little shy of 3/4 yard. But I would use the whole 3/4 and really fill it in. I skimped around the edges, and it's still beautiful from the front, but from the side you can see it's not all the way filled. I finished mine a little different. I hot glued some tulle to the back (after I formed it how I wanted it to be) and then backed it all in red felt. That way from any angle you only see red. And we have a glass door so from the inside of the house your not staring at an unfinished back of wreath. It's not that neat and pretty, but it's better than white, unfinished!
